BEFORE REQUESTING TRANSPORTATION
[ ] Commodity, packaged unit count, dimensions and gross weight
[ ] Pickup and delivery addresses, contacts and facility hours
[ ] Ready date, delivery requirements and appointments
[ ] Dock/forklift access, liftgate and loading responsibilities
[ ] Special handling, temperature or regulated freight requirements
[ ] Packaging inspected; condition and labels photographed

BEFORE RELEASING FREIGHT
[ ] Authorized pickup details confirmed through a trusted contact
[ ] Carrier, driver, truck and trailer details match the instructions
[ ] Pickup reference checked alongside identity verification
[ ] Any changed destination or carrier independently verified
[ ] Discrepancies resolved before release
[ ] Shipment documents and release records retained securely

AT DELIVERY
[ ] Shipment reference and handling-unit count compared
[ ] Visible damage or shortage described specifically on receipt
[ ] Photos and signed documentation retained
[ ] Shipment contact notified promptly of any exception
[ ] Packaging retained for inspection where relevant
[ ] Formal claim instructions requested if needed
