Plan the details before the pickup.

LTL freight shares trailer space with other shipments and may move through terminals. Accurate dimensions and packaging help a carrier evaluate your shipment and reduce avoidable reclassification or accessorial surprises. Describe both facilities, including whether a dock or forklift is available.

Make the quote request count.

Include the full route, your ready date and both facilities’ operating requirements. If a detail is still being confirmed, say so in your notes. Accurate information makes it easier to discuss a realistic plan and identify questions before transportation is arranged.

Transit expectations, accessorial charges and any guaranteed service must be confirmed in the written quote. Do not assume that a standard LTL service includes an appointment or liftgate.
